Getting Support
Living with NASH can be difficult, confusing, even overwhelming. It’s okay to ask for help.
Learning you have a chronic condition can be challenging in several ways. It’s not surprising that studies have shown that NASH (nonalcoholic steatohepatitis) also has an emotional impact and can affect work, daily activities, and even relationships.
You don’t have to do it alone.
If you feel like NASH is overwhelming, or if you want to learn more or share your NASH experience with others, ask your doctor to recommend a support group. You can also get support from advocacy groups dedicated to helping people with fatty liver disease and NASH, like the ones below…
The Global Liver Institute is committed to solving problems that matter to people living with liver disease and equipping advocates to improve the lives of all those affected.
NASH kNOWledge seeks to raise public awareness of fatty liver disease and NASH, providing support, education, and resources for people with liver disease and their families.
The Fatty Liver Foundation helps improve the lives affected by fatty liver disease through awareness, screening, education, and outreach. Get news, information, and support through their LiverSaver Facebook group.
